Carrick on Shannon ESC and Mayo ESC are proposing a short series of webinars/ zoom meetings for all schools who wish to address the requirement to engage in a SSE Cycle in the area of Wellbeing.
This is mandated for all schools, as per circular 56/2022, whereby all schools have to engage in a process of using the Wellbeing Policy Statement and Framework for Practice by 2025. We believe there will be a strong desire to seek support in this area. It will be applicable to primary, post primary, DEIS and non DEIS schools.
Monday 30th September - Session 1:
- Overview of wellbeing promotion requirements in schools and sharing methods of gathering evidence. Aligning this with Wellbeing Policy Statement and Framework for Practice and SSE.
Monday 21st October - Session 2:
- Analysis of gathered evidence and making judgements. Focusing on the 4 Key Areas of Wellbeing. Implementation and recording of School Improvement Plan/ DEIS Plan.
Facilitator Bio - Colm Conlon (facilitator) has been supporting schools to engage with Wellbeing Promotion over the last
number of years with Oide. Areas of expertise include SSE and Wellbeing, SPHE, Restorative Practices and Anti Bullying Policies and Procedures.
