Food Safety Authority of Ireland Level I & II 

  • Part 1 - Monday 9 September - – 3.15pm to 4.30pm
  • Part 2 - Monday 16 September – 3.15pm to 4.30pm

This training programme aims to introduce teachers and other staff to HACCP food safety and good hygiene practices when school lunches are delivered to their school. 

Content: 
• HACCP Food Safety & Food Hygiene Hazard Analysis and Control
• Allergen Awareness Controls and Procedures
• Maintain Controls at Delivery & Serving Food and procedures for leftovers
• Personal Hygiene & Hand Hygiene Techniques
• Cleaning, Waste and Pest Control 

Course Outline - On completion of the course, the student will: -
• Understand the importance of Food Hygiene and Safety 
• Recognise key Food Allergens 
• Maintain procedures to ensure food hazards are controlled
• Demonstrate and maintain a high standard of Personal Hygiene
• Refrain from unhygienic practices and demonstrate correct practice in the event of illnesses and 
ailments that may affect food safety 
• Keep classrooms clean and adhere to good practices for the disposal of leftovers

Learners will be provided with course notes and a Certificate of Attendance issued by About Hygiene Ltd
