Team Teaching for Literacy

The Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) in conjunction with Carrick-on-Shannon Education Centre invites you to nominate a Special Educational Needs teacher and one other teacher (maximum) from your school to attend a one day seminar. 

This seminar will explore how team-teaching can be used to meet the literacy needs of pupils in the mainstream classroom. Key components of the seminar content will include; inclusion, identifying pupil priority learning needs, models of team teaching and literacy strategies.

Please note the following;

• The content of this seminar is a development of previous Team-Teaching for Literacy seminars.
• This seminar will be delivered by PDST Associates who are practising teachers with expertise in this area.
• Please note that there is substitute cover available for the day.
• Lunch will be provided.

Teachers who wish to attend should apply through the PDST online booking system at www.pdst.ie/onlinebooking. The system will allow no more than two teacher registrations from each school.
