We often teach content without focusing on how a student will learn that content. With blended learning a student’s ability to learn effectively at home is a growing concern. This course will explore the six most effective learning strategies. Unpack what educational neuroscience is telling us about the brain and learning. Match this up with classroom teaching and assessment practices to support students to become capable learners.
Learning how to learn is best done through the subject material a student is using. Many schools offer study skills courses but without being embedded into class practice they fail to support improved student outcomes.
This is a very practical course including:
➢ An outline of six scientifically proven learning strategies.
➢ Steps to incorporate them into class practice
➢ Teacher resource pack.
➢ Student resource pack.
