Geographical Investigation: River Processes in a V-shaped valley

The aim of this webinar is to give teachers the opportunity to revise the various experiments involved in a river study, to develop fieldwork skills, which include careful observation and recording of information.  Some initial interpretation of the data will also be carried out.  Making sense of the results with the students will be discussed. Experiments covered will include:

  • River Velocity
  • Cross-section and river discharge calculation
