  2. Once you have registered, an email will be sent to your email address with a ZOOM WEBINAR LINK. Please follow the instructions outlined in the email, to register for the webinar.  
  3. After registering through the ZOOM LINK in that email, you will then receive a second email confirming your booking and containing important information about joining the webinar.

Dyslexia for the mainstream second level teacher - 21LCAU51 (Live Webinar)

This webinar is designed for mainstream teachers who have students with dyslexia in their classes.  Given that dyslexia can affect up to 1 in 10 people, most teachers will have such students in their classes.  The key emphasis is on practical classroom and school strategies as well as useful resources. 

Although the course deals in particular with dyslexia, many of the strategies and resources will also help when working with students with other specific learning difficulties such as Dyspraxia and Autistic Spectrum.

Presenter - Deirdre McElroy has worked for a number of years as an educational psychologist with NEPS.  Before that she taught Mathematics and History to Leaving Certificate Higher level.  She also has a Masters in Special Education and has worked as a resource teacher.
