ILSA - Irish Learning Support Association (Carrick-on-Shannon Branch)

What is ILSA?


The Irish Learning Support Association (ILSA) formally known as Association of Remedial Teachers of Ireland was founded in 1974. It is the fourth largest teacher organisation (after the three teacher unions) in the country.

The Irish Learning Support Association is a self-help peer support group. ILSA represents Special Education Teachers and members are drawn from both primary and second level sectors.

Join Carrick on Shannon ILSA branch and participate in:

  1. Termly meetings held in Carrick On Shannon Education Centre.

  2. Chat, share ideas and learn from fellow professionals.

  3. Guest speakers.

  4. Keep up to date with curricular and support teaching developments.

  5. Access to library of support materials and testing resources available at Carrick on Shannon Education Centre.

  6. Attend the ILSA National Conference and Spring Conference.
