The aim of this webinar is to support teachers working in multi-grade settings by helping them understand and manage the necessary planning, preparation, and paperwork involved in a multi-grade classroom. The webinar will look at samples of differentiation and teaching approaches that support effective learning and teaching in a multi-grade classroom.
Bio - Katie Curran
Since graduating from St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra (DCU) I have gained extensive experience across various educational settings, including Gaelscoileanna (urban), Scoilenna sa Ghaeltacht (rural), and DEIS 1&2 schools (both urban and rural) where I lead teaching and learning in all class levels in single-stream and multi-grade settings, as a Special Education Teacher (SET) and Home School
Community Liaison Co-Ordinator (HSCL). In 2019 I took on the role of Teaching Principal, working with 3rd-6th class in a small rural three teacher school in Donegal. I am a passionate life long learner and have completed further studies at both Postgraduate (Educational Leadership and Management/ Special Education) and Masters levels (Teaching and Learning, Educational Leadership and Management.)
