Learning Outcomes:

• ·         Teachers will be enabled to acquire an overview  of Curaclam Teanga na Bunscoile, the three strands of Teanga Ó Bhéal, Léitheoireacht agus Scríbhneoireacht including  possibilities for implementation from Céim 1-Céim 4.
• ·         Through engaging in this webinar, teachers will develop a greater understanding of how each strand develops from Céim 1-Céim 4,  view practical examples from a working classroom as well as appropriate resources for implementation.
• ·         Upon completion of this series of webinars, teachers and school staffs will be in a position to assess individually and collectively  which areas of  Curaclam Teanga na Bunscoile are working well and areas/foci for further upskilling and development on a whole school basis.

bIO - 

Karen Brogan is a primary teacher currently teaching Rang3 &Rang 4 in Kilglass NS, Co. Sligo.

Karen has experience teaching in the small school multi-class situation, as well as in Gaelscoileanna and as an SET teacher in  DEIS 1 school.

Karen was seconded to PDST from 2006-2014 and worked a Cuiditheoir Tús Maith and Gaeilge , and was a DEIS and Literacy Advisor. In her capacity as an Advisor, she delivered seminars on the Literacy& Numeracy Strategy as well as SSE.

Karen has been designing, delivering and facilitating CPD since 2007 through workshops, summer in-service and webinars in conjunction with Mayo EC and Carrick on Shannon EC.
